The Path to Perfection…
Our time-honoured process reflects our commitment to quality in every step:
- Receive concept drawings from designer/architect
- “Measure twice, cut once” — Personal, on-site visit made to ensure accuracy of concept drawings
- Shop drawings produced in-house to ensure accurate interpretation of details in concept drawings
- Selection of materials to make your piece uniquely yours:
- Exotic woods from the four corners of the globe, a small sampling of which is pictured at right
- A myriad of finishes such as distressing, antiquing, hand-brushing, hand-rubbing, or high-tech conversion varnish
- Work commenced by craftsmen, once drawings and finishes approved
A single craftsman will often carry the job from inception to end product. For larger projects, teamwork is key, and each joiner plays an important role through to project completion
- Pieces bench-built from assigned woods
All wood is brought in rough and is split out into various widths and thicknesses to be assigned to individual projects
- The “Finishing” Touch… your specially selected finish is applied in our spray booth
Any pieces broken down for finishing are re-assembled afterwards
- Project assembled in-shop whenever possible for a final quality assurance check
This step ensures that all pieces fit together perfectly before they leave our shop
- Final installation on-site
